The La Salle Community Centre Board has been given the challenging task of meeting the recreation needs of the community of La Salle. The population of the community has grown from 600 people a short time ago, to a current population of approximately 2000 people. To meet this demand, the Board is pursuing plans to construct a new Multi-Purpose Recreation and Fitness Centre to supplement the current facility and curling club.
This proposed facility would include the following:
q Gymnasium / Hall
q Exercise room for both cardio and weight training
q Secondary activity room for yoga, pilates, aerobics, dance, karate, activities for children, etc
q Change rooms, washrooms and showers for both indoor and outdoor activities
q Replacement of the outdoor ice rink
q Provisions for outdoor tennis and basketball courts
q Upgrades to 4 baseball diamonds
q New fastball diamond
q Reconfigure football and soccer fields
